Indosat Holds Workshop on Improving Science & Math Teachers

Recognizing this, Indosat return to continue its commitment to contribute to improving the quality of science and mathematics teachers through Competency Enhancement Programme Science and Mathematics Teachers who have entered the year-to-5, which is characterized by the arrangements for the Workshop on Improving Science Teachers (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) se -West Sumatra province. Workshop held on 10-13 January 2012 in Padang, West Sumatra, followed by 100 teachers from various high school (High School) and MAN (Madrasah Aliyah Affairs) from various regions and cities in West Sumatra.
Teacher Competency Enhancement Programme Science and Mathematics as part of the program INDONESIA LEARNING, namely Indosat CSR program that focuses on education, organized by Indosat in cooperation with three leading universities in West Sumatra, among others, the University of Andalas, Bung Hatta University of Padang State University as a provider of teaching staff and laboratory facilities.

The program has been running for five years received a good enough response, seen from the high number of participants who join the program. Until this year, the program has provided scholarships for 1264 teachers, 402 high schools and Madrasah Aliyah Affairs from 33 provinces in Indonesia.
Program spearheaded by Indosat since 2006 and the first time in Indonesia was specifically has improved the quality of the field of science skills for high school students / MAN in West Sumatra, which is reflected in an increasing number of students who are enrolled at State Universities.
