Invincible Kian Android Smartphone Market

Android increasingly dominate the competition in the smartphone market. Where based latest data released by IDC, Google's operating system that managed to score gains 75% share of the smartphone market in the third quarter of 2012.

From the data released by IDC, Android smartphone successfully shipped as many as 136 million units in the third quarter this year. When compared to the same period in the prior year, Android has recorded an increase by 91.5%.

Android trailed in the top position, the operating system iOS stuck at second position with 14.9% market share acquisition. IOS positions predicted to be even stronger in the coming quarter as sales of the iPhone 5 is quite popular in the market.
Successively, BlackBerry and Symbian are in third and fourth position with 4.3% market share to 2.3% for BlackBerry and Symbian.

Fifth position is occupied by the Windows Phone operating system to gain market share of 2% in the third quarter. With a number of vendors who are ready to release their Windows Phone devices to market, IDC also predicts that Microsoft's mobile platform has the potential to increase its market share in the next quarter.
